MYA - HR MANAGER

To promote growth, we are looking at a ‘Human Resources Manager’ to be based at Bagalkot, Karnataka

Key Accountabilities

  • The HR Manager would report to the CEO and will plan and support the growth of MYA, coordinating HR efforts
  • This individual will develop and manage the HR function by building and leading a small Human Resources / Admin team


Hiring Specifications

  • Passionate commitment to MYA’s mission
  • Around 5-6 years of experience Human Resource functions. Experience in a growing with semi-skilled employee population is preferred
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage service providers to deliver various HR offerings
  • Team orientation, ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people, and ability to support operations
  • Communication skills in English and in the local language (Kannada)
  • Ability to manage and co-ordinate with an external agency on fulfilling legal and statutory employment obligations of the organization
  • Experience in managing people
  • MBA or Post-graduate degree with an emphasis in HR is preferred. Candidates with strong background in the HR area but without a formal degree in the field will also be considered.


Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: On all the areas below, as and when required, work closely in short-listing appropriate vendors / service providers, provide project specification and manage their output to meet the organization’s needs
  • Staff Recruitment and Orientation: Develop pipeline for positions at MYA’s Head and Area offices.  Ongoing improvement in MYA's hiring process and induction
    HR / Office Administration: Manage HR / Administrative processes, including payroll, HR policies, inputs for HR budget
  • Compensation and Benefits: Provide relevant inputs on compensation and benefits to the management
  • Employee Relations and Motivation: Work closely with management to address employee concerns in congruence with employment laws. Develop and implement employee recognition initiatives
  • Staff Evaluation and Professional Development / Training: Work on performance management and goal setting systems at an appropriate time for the organization
