MYA - INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

An innovative Microfinance organization is looking for Internal Audit Manager who will contribute and fuel the Financial, Audit and Accounting Processes for the organization.

As part of our current growth plan, we are looking at an ‘Internal Audit Manager’ to be based at Bagalkot, Karnataka.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic and annual Internal Audit plans
  • Develop policies, procedures and ensure adequate internal controls
  • Establish accountability and quality control standards
    Recommend processes and systems for strengthening the SHG promotion and microfinance business


Reporting and Inputs Responsibilities:

  • Provide audit report to the CEO


Management Responsibilities:

  • Improve efficiency in training employees during periods of transition
  • Responsible for leading a team that will conduct audits at head office, branch and SHG (Self Help Groups) levels in the following priority areas:
    • SHG Promotion & Management
    • SHG Savings
    • SHG Loan Linkage
    • SHG Insurance
  • Develop Internal Audit team organization structure
  • Improve efficiency in training employees during periods of transition
  • Recommended processes and systems for strengthening the SHG promotion and microfinance business
  • Identify sources of ongoing support and training for Internal Audit staff


Education: CA degree is a must with graduation in Commerce

Experience: Five years of experience with a bank in its audit & vigilance department is preferred or 10 years of experience in accounting and auditing experience

Language:  Knowledge of Kannada
 
Attributes:

  • Good report writing skills
  • Accounts and Audit knowledge (planning, techniques, sampling methods involved in conducting audits
  • Computerized Accounting knowledge
  • Ability to prepare concise reports
  • Awareness of new auditing techniques and practices
  • Should be a good team player and work closely with Management team, accounting team or other branches
  • An understanding of microfinance sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
