Kylie Charlton: Managing Director
A founding team member of Unitus Capital, Kylie led the capital markets strategy at Unitus for 4 years. In this role, she arranged debt for 12 Unitus MFI partners across 6 countries, provided capital structuring advice to the portfolio of Unitus MFI partners, advised investment funds and banks on their portfolio of microfinance loans, and played a leading role in the development and launch of the Unitus Equity Fund I, L.P. Previously, Kylie was Vice President in the Project and Structured Finance Group at Citigroup with 11 years experience in commercial and investment banking in Sydney and New York. Kylie holds a B.A. in Commerce (Banking and Finance) from the University of Canberra and an M.B.A from the Said Business School at Oxford University, where she was a founding member and student co-chair of the Oxford Business Network for Social Entrepreneurship.
Eric Savage: Managing Director
A founding team member of Unitus Capital, Eric transitioned from the Capital Markets team at Unitus, which he joined in 2007 in Bangalore, India. Previously, he directed Citigroup’s Asia Power Investment banking group. Eric was based in Hong Kong for 12 years and worked for Citigroup/Salomon Brothers for a total of 14 years. From 1996 to 1998, Eric was Head of Salomon's utilities sector equity research team and was selected as a member of Institutional Investors' All-Asia research team. Eric is a graduate (cum laude) of Duke University and of Harvard’s Kennedy School. From the Kennedy School he received the Lucius N. Littauer Fellow Award, the program’s top honor.
Abhijit Ray: Vice President
A founding team member of Unitus Capital, Abhijit transitioned from the Capital Markets team at Unitus which he joined in early 2006. At Unitus he worked on debt and equity arranging mandates, along with providing financial advisory services. Prior to joining Unitus Abhijit brought 13 years of investment banking, commercial banking and microfinance experience gained through working for Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and State Bank of India (SBI). He oversaw SIDBI’s microfinance portfolio in the state of Andhra Pradesh where he had also acted as the business development manager for SME projects. Abhijit has appraised more than 50 MFIs in India for loan funding and undertaken Capacity Building Need Assessment (CBNA) for more than 35 MFIs. He has attended the School of Applied Microfinance and HBS Strategic Leadership Programme in Microfinance. Abhijit holds a BSc (Eco) from Kolkata University and is a Certified Associate (CAIIB) of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
Jaydeep Chakraborty: Associate Vice President
A founding team member of Unitus Capital, Jaydeep transitioned from the Capital Markets team at Unitus which he joined in early 2006. At Unitus he worked on debt and equity arranging mandates, along with providing financial advisory services. Prior to joining Unitus Jaydeep brought over 9 years of experience in finance and engineering. Previously, Jaydeep was with Certus Ltd, Risk Management Consultancy in London, where he was involved in extensive financial risk and statistical modeling across a number of industry sectors. He holds a BSc in mathematics from University of Cardiff, an MSc in industrial mathematical modeling from Loughborough University of Technology and an MSc in finance from Cass Business School in London.
Brooke Randall: Associate Vice President
A founding team member of Unitus Capital, Brooke transitioned from his role in the Capital Markets team at Unitus which he joined in late 2005. At Unitus he worked on debt and equity arranging mandates, along with providing financial advisory services. Brooke joined Unitus with 4 years of investment experience at Quellos Private Capital. His responsibilities at Quellos were directed toward investing in private equity and venture capital funds across numerous sectors including information technology, healthcare, natural resources, and real estate. Brooke holds a B.A. from Washington State University.
