AMK WINS SOCIAL PERFORMANCE REPORTING AWARD

Angkor Microfinance Kampuchea (AMK), a Unitus MFI partner since 2008, was one of three MFIs to receive the new 2009 Social Performance Reporting Gold Award. This award is designed to recognize and promote greater transparency within MFIs' social performance reporting.

AMK was presented this award by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and CGAP at the second annual Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) meeting on June 2nd.

Based in rural Cambodia, AMK works to provide financial services to low-income households. In December 2008, AMK was ranked the #19 top-performing MFI by the MIX Market in the 2008 MIX Global 100 Composite Rankings.
