CEO OF SAMHITA WINS AWARD

Praseeda Kunam, CEO of Samhita Microfinance (a Unitus MFI parter since 2007), was recently honored with an Indian Women Achievers Award for her role in providing economic and health services to disadvantaged women. Organized by FICCI Ladies Organization (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), the event recognized women from a variety of fields of work.

Praseeda's background in activism and microfinance also includes serving as the Director Operations at SKS Microfinance and working for ABN AMRO Foundation India. 

Unitus is pleased to congratulate Praseeda on her well-deserved recognition and looks forward to continuing to assist Samhita in expanding microfinance in Madhya Pradesh.
