Meet a Jamii Bora Trust client: Susan is HIV positive, but now that she has access to medical insurance and microcredit loans, Susan is able to provide for her children and buy the drugs that are keeping her healthy.
Meet an SKS client: Before joining SKS, Bayamma used to work as a seasonal agricultural laborer, earning only 32 cents per day. Using microcredit loans totaling less than $500, this mother of seven was able to start a successful business and release her son from bonded labor.
Meet an MBK Ventura client: Since joining MBK in 2003, Soimi's businesses have rapidly grown and in turn the quality of life for her family has dramatically improved. She has been able to purchase additional sewing machines and invest further in her duck eggs business.
Meet a FIS client: Juana Fernández’s hairdressing business was seriously affected by the Argentine economic crisis of 2002. With a loan from FIS, she was able to keep her salon afloat. With the expanded services that she and her friend, business partner and co-FIS client Claudia (right) are able to offer, business is better than ever.
